Paws Four You, Inc.

We service clients within a 7 mile radius of  Suffern, New York, and surrounding towns within this radius in New York State.

ROUTINE SERVICES  ~ 30 minute visit:  (FOR DOGS)

 "RFWP"  Relieve, feed, walk and play  (PLUS lots of love!)

As soon as we come to your home, we immediately take your pets outside so that they can do their business.  If this is a meal visit, they will get fed according to specific instructions in the contract and will always be given fresh water. If it is not a meal visit, a cookie or two will be given. We then go back outside for a short walk to let your pets relieve themselves more and all waste is bagged and disposed according to the contract.  We then play with your pet and give lots of love and attention.   

A 60 minute visit means a longer walk and/or more play and attention time.  Routine duties are the same and your pet will be loved and spoiled!

PAMPERED PUP

If it rains and your dog(s)  come in wet from the outside, their paws will be wiped off and a towel warm from the dryer will be waiting for them. Dogs love this and it feels so good when they are wet and cold.  Your dog will be spoiled, you can guarantee it! 

ROUTINE DUTIES ~ 30 minute visit  (FOR CATS)

"GFLP"  ~ Greet, feed, litterbox cleaning, play   (PLUS lots of love!)

As soon as we get to your home, we greet your cat(s), letting them know we are there.  If it is a meal visit, then fresh food will be given along with fresh water.  If milk is part of the cat's diet, then milk will be given according to instructions from client.  When your cat is eating, the litter-box is being cleaned and everything is bagged up to be disposed outside. When Boots is done eating and is happy with her full belly, it is time for playing and love! ** If you want a complete litter box change ( not a cleaning, but remove old litter, clean out everything thoroughly and make everything fresh and new), we are happy to do this for you.  Since it takes more time to do this, there is an additional fee.  Please see pricing page. **

All cats are different and some like to be held while others stay to themselves.  We follow the explicit instructions in the contract so your cat's regular routine is the same as if you were there.

A 60 minute visit means more playtime and tender loving care.  Routine duties are the same.

FOR DOGS AND CATS (and other four footed pets)

All bowls are washed and any spills are cleaned up.  Accidents of any type are cleaned as well. We will brush your pet, if desired, at no additional cost. If your pet requires medication where the pill is given in food or pill pockets, then medication can be given.  Please note ~  no medical injections are offered at this time. ~Light altering is offered along with bringing in the newspaper and mail and watering any indoor plants.  Blinds can also be opened or closed.  Garbage pails and recycles will be taken to  the curb and brought back in, if desired.  The house is always locked and secure, and if an alarm code is given, the alarm will be reset upon leaving.  

OVERNIGHTS

Paws Four You, Inc. is happy to offer overnight visits as of July 2010.  The shift runs from 7PM to 7AM.  Please see our pricing page for all information and prices.  We are happy to  now offer this much asked about service to our clients and look forward to serving you.

SITTER CODES FOR ALARMS

Ask your alarm company about a special sitter code.  This way if the alarm goes off and your sitter has to give a code word, it is a special code just for the pet-sitter.  Paws Four You, Inc. is experienced with all alarm systems.

WELCOME HOME CARD

When we finish a job, a special "Welcome Home Card" is left for you to please call or email  us upon your return.  This way we know your pets are not alone and you arrived home safely.  If you are coming back from a vacation and your flight is delayed, this is especially important.   If we have not heard from you, we will follow up to make sure that your pets are safe. 

DAILY LOG  ~ SO YOU KNOW WHAT WAS DONE

A daily log is kept in the house and the date and time is completed upon each visit. This way you know exactly when we were there, i.e. what time, and what was done.  The comments section will tell you all the details of our visit. 

ADDITIONAL SERVICES:

BATHS:  This is only done in an emergency situation if a dog has rolled in feces or has something on him that needs to come off  immediately.  A designated bathroom must be assigned and we offer towel drying only.  Charge for emergency baths on pricing page.

REFRIGERATOR FILLED:  If you want to have food in your fridge upon returning home from a week's vacation (or after a long weekend), up to 20 items will be placed in the refrigerator for your return.  Money for food must be given to Paws Four You, Inc. prior to leaving on your trip. If no money is given in advance for the food, then this service is not available.  All receipts are saved and any money left over is left for the client upon return of trip.  A grocery list must be given in advance.  No money will be advanced to client for this service.  Traveling time applies in addition to the fee to have your refrigerator stocked with 20 items.  Ask Debbie for details!

PET-TAXI SERVICE:  If your pet needs to go to the vet and you can't take him, Paws Four You, Inc. will do this for you.  If you are away and your pet needs to be taken to the vet for an emergency visit, we take your pet to the vet! If you want your pet transported from your home to another location (within a five mile radius), we will gladly transport your pet for you!  See rates on our pricing page. 

EMERGENCY SERVICE WHEN AWAY:  If your pet gets sick and needs to be seen by your vet, (or 24 hour animal hospital), Paws Four You, Inc. will take your pet there and you will be charged by the hour for the time spent taking your animal to the hospital and for waiting time. An emergency letter and payment information must be left with Paws Four You, Inc. in the event we cannot reach you and your pet is ill and needs to be treated.  This applies to clients who are gone for three days or more.  Pet taxi service is a separate charge.  

TRAVELING TIME:  If your pet needs supplies (such as it is not eating its kibble) and you, as the client, request Paws Four You, Inc.,  to buy some chicken to mix in with its food, you are responsible not only for the cost of the food which will be added to your bill (receipts will be given) but you are also responsible for the time spent traveling to go to the store to make this purchase and all traveling time involved. You will be charged by the hour or half hour for all time spent. Paws Four You, Inc. is not responsible for advancing any monies, so if you think your pet may have problems when you are away, please let us know prior to leaving on your trip. Traveling time fee also applies if you want  Paws Four You, Inc. to take your pet from one location to another.  In other words, a pet-taxi service fee is one service, and the time spent with your pet is another service which is a separate fee.  

KEY PICK UP - If a key is not given at initial consultation, then a fee is charged to pick it up at a later date. **If after you use us for one job and you request to have your key returned, each time we have to come back for additional jobs at later dates (not original job) and we need to pick up the key again, a $5 fee will be charged for each time.**

KEY RETURN - If a key needs to be returned to the owner after using our services, there is no fee to bring the key back.  A form must be signed at the same time the key is returned to the owner acknowledging receipt of the key. This is done only in person  between Paws Four You, Inc. and the client.

KEY CLUB - Join our key club!  This is for client's who wish for Paws Four You, Inc. to keep a key to their home so if they decide to go to the city for dinner and a show and Spot needs a dinner and a late night visit,  - all you do is call and we are good to go! If there is an emergency and you need someone to come in to take care of your pet, being a Key Club client definitely comes in handy! Going to a wedding or another affair?  If you are a Key Club client you just call and tell us when.  Spot and Boots  will have all their needs met.  A Key Club contract must be signed at an earlier date and is an addendum to said original contract. There is no cost to join.  Ask Debbie for details!

Please note ~if you are a Key Club Client and give less than 24 hours notice for a visit (i.e. an emergency - you are stuck out on Long Island in traffic and Spot needs to be fed and walked) a charge of $10.00 will be added to your bill since there was not any notice for this visit. Even if it is not an emergency, and less than 24 hours notice is given, the $10.00 fee would still apply. In order for there not to be an additional fee, at least  24 hours notice is required for Key Club clients  and much appreciated to make sure we are available to help.  

CONFIRMATION EMAIL ~  Once a contract has been signed,  you will receive a confirmation email with dates and times and what will be done.  The email will then need to be sent back to Paws Four You, Inc. agreeing to the content of the email.  If something is not right or information needs to be added, it is done at this time between the client and Paws Four You, Inc.  You will always receive a confirmation email prior to the assignment.   The same applies for Key Club clients.  Once the client verbally calls and requests dates and times, a confirmation email is sent out and it must be sent back to Paws Four You, Inc. confirming all information so we will be able to come into your home.
